Team Building at the U.S. National Whitewater Center

Join us for a fun-filled day learning about teamwork. 

TEAM BUILDING: During this experience, participants will be broken into smaller groups that will engage in team building games and initiatives on our low ropes course. This physically and mentally challenging experience will push participants to work as a team while solving problems as a group. Instructors will start out by giving each team basic instructions and guidance; then it is up to the group to complete the initiative. After each initiative is completed, participants will briefly share their experiences with each other and see how the lessons learned apply to everyday life.

Who can participate: 

Individuals 16 and older with an intellectual or developmental disability. 

What to bring:

Bagged lunch

Water bottle

Sunscreen

Bug spray

Closed-toe shoes

Athletic clothing 

Parking:

Each car will need to pay $12 to park or you can buy an annual parking pass for $40 before the event. We encourage participants to carpool if possible. 

Parents/Guardians:

We encourage you to stay with your individual to help them with their gear and getting them to and from each activity. If you are not able to attend, please let us know ahead of time so we can get additional chaperones.
